The welcoming ceremony took place on Friday evening, 8.12.23, and the official meeting took place on Saturday, 9.12.23. Upa Laltlanthanga, President of SCI, presided over the assembly. At the meeting, the SCI National Budget for 2024 was presented, and 14 agendas for local and national development were considered. Following the meeting, Rev.C.Rualchungnunga, the returning officer, presided over the election of the 2024–2025 Salvation Church of India leaders. These are the members that have been chosen to be Salvation Church’s leaders for the next two years.

Three elders were promoted to senior elders, while one Pastor and six elders were ordained at the Sunday morning service. The sacrament was observed in the afternoon. At the evening meeting, Upa Laltlanthanga President SCI, gave the valedictory massage.
Additionally, missionaries from several states joined the Assembly. There are seven from Odisha, two each from Andhra Pradesh, Assam, and Tripura. In 2023, 52 members converted from Hinduism and confessed Jesus Christ as their Savoir. This is the outcome of our missionaries’ dedication and God’s favor. We want to express our gratitude to every church member who prayed and donated to the SCI Mission.
The Assembly, which was delightful and wonderful, came to an end on Sunday night. It will return to Dinthar Church in December 2024. God grant us the safety to bring all SCI members together at the next assembly.
